TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. COMPETITION DETAILS

  1. Instructions on How to Enter form part of these conditions of entry.
  2. Entry is open to all respondents who have completed and submitted their entry online. Employees and their families of Cambridge University Press and their distributors are ineligible to enter.
  3. Competition closes at 5pm AEST 2nd August 2013
  4. All entries must be in JPEG digital format.
  5. A maximum of 4 entries per person.
  6. All photographs must be submitted online using the specific entry form.
  7. Digital images must not exceed a file size of 4MB. However, winning entrants will be contacted to obtain images of a higher resolution that are suitable for printing on the book cover. To ensure your entries are valid, entrants should take and save their photographs at the highest possible resolution. To submit your entry initially save the image separately as a smaller file than 4MB. Make sure that you also retain the larger higher resolution image. We will not accept smart phone photographs.
  8. The entrant warrants that the photograph(s) submitted in the entry is the entrant’s original works entirely owned by the entrant.
  9. Cambridge, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject or disqualify any entrant that submits photograph(s) that contain offensive or copyright material.
  10. All photos become the property of Cambridge University Press
  11. Any winning photo featuring people will require written consent from the subjects if they are over 18 years old or from their parent or guardian if under 18 years old. Cambridge University Press will supply release forms on request.
  12. The entrants give their consent for Cambridge to publish the photographs entered in the competition on the cover of selected Cambridge Checkpoints HSC 2014 and will be credited for their work on the inside title page.

2. COMPETITION PRIZE DETAILS

  1. The prize will be drawn at Cambridge University Press (“Cambridge”) office in Port Melbourne at 4pm on Thursday 8th August 2013.
  2. The first prize is an Apple iPad 16GB Wi-Fi 3G to the value of AUS$649.00.
  3. The winner along with the runners up will have their photo published on the selected cover of Cambridge Checkpoints HSC 2014.
  4. Competition prizes cannot be redeemed as cash.
  5. Prizes will be awarded via mail.
  6. Prize winners will be notified via email or phone by Friday 9th of August 2013.
  7. A panel appointed by Cambridge University Press will judge the contest. The judges’ decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.

  1. By entering this competition, entrants agree to abide by all the Terms and Conditions of this competition
  2. Cambridge accepts no responsibility for late or misdirected entries, whether these are caused by technical or other problems.
  3. Cambridge accepts no responsibility and shall not be held legally liable or responsible for any injury or damage to participants or the participant’s equipment as a result of entering this competition.
  4. Any personal details provided by participants of this competition will remain confidential with Cambridge in compliance with the Victorian Information Privacy Act 2000.
  5. Cambridge, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject or disqualify any entrant that gives false information when entering the competition.
  6. Cambridge University Press reserves the right to use the photographs in promotional and marketing material and on Cambridge’s websites.
  7. Contact details provided may be used to provide respondents with additional information on Cambridge Checkpoints HSC.
