About the authors

Help students keep in step with a constantly changing global business environment with updated content in the Interactive Textbook.

  • Updates available for all users for free
Updated content will help students keep in step with a constantly changing and increasingly global business environment. Updated statistics, legislation and business information will be added to the Interactive Textbook and will be available to current users at no additional cost. A complete list of changes will be available as a downloadable PDF on Cambridge GO.
  • Current business practices
Real-world examples reflect current business activity and practice. Included in this edition are disruptive businesses such as Airbnb and Netflix, and new ways of starting and running a business, such as crowdfunding, that are having an impact on the business operations of a range of industries. This helps students apply theory to current business practices.
  • Two HSC case studies to choose from
An integrated, whole-year case study for HSC covers all aspects of the Domino’s pizza business in Australia. With technological innovations in progress, and media discussion around the franchisee system, this business provides an excellent opportunity for students to explore the topics of the syllabus in a real-world context. Additionally, the Virgin Australia case study is available on Cambridge GO with ongoing updates to financial data.
  • Extensive exam preparation
Superior HSC exam preparation support includes comprehensive end-of-chapter material, exam-style questions, and revision tasks for every topic.
What else to expect:
  • Visual aids introduce and reinforce business concepts and a wide variety of theoretical and practical activities help students to develop key comprehension, analysis, research and discussion skills.
  • The Interactive Textbook brings the study of business to life with drag-and-drop activities, rich video material, rollover definitions and ongoing updates.
  • Students are encouraged to analyse ethical issues and challenges that arise from a global business environment, and to explore the social responsibilty of the business world.
  • Topic introductions, aligned with the syllabus, outline the focus and indicate the expected outcomes. A list of key terms to be covered in the chapter is also provided.
  • Topic-specific words are highlighted throughout the text and defined in the margins to aid immediate comprehension. Glossary definitions are also listed at the back of the book for revision and easy reference.
