i-learn writing is a non-fiction writing resource designed to take the class through the whole writing process from reading to practice and assessment. Each CD-ROM features nine teaching focuses including Model Texts, Reading as a Writer, Talking the Text (speaking and listening and drama activities), Writing Games (word, sentence and text level work), Stimulus and Shared Planning, Demonstration and Shared Writing, Practising Editing, Independent Planning and Writing and Publishing. A 'focus' may last half a lesson or carry over several lessons. Focuses are designed to be flexible and fit in with different styles and methods of teaching writing.
