Join the authors of Cambridge Senior Science Biology VCE in a workshop discussion that will explore how this resource helps to ensure success for every VCE Biology student in the new 2022 Study Design.

This workshop will cover key features of the Cambridge resource, highlighting:

• the advantages for student learning across VCE Units 1–4
• the emphasis on feedback for student and teacher (both formative and summative assessment)
• strategies to assist teacher delivery of old and new content

Our experienced and passionate authors have specifically designed this resource for the new 2022 Study Design, catering to all types of learners and supporting both new and experienced teachers.

A workshop recording will be made available to anyone who cannot attend due to distance.

OUR WORKSHOP PRESENTERS

Simon Maaser is the lead author of our VCE Biology team and Head of Science at Brighton Grammar School where he teaches 7–10 Science, VCE Biology and VCE Chemistry. He has also been involved in VCE Biology Examinations and Study Design reviews.

Victoria Shaw has been committed to sharing her love for science with Year 7–12 students for the past 21 years and previously studied pharmacology. She has been a Head of Science, an assessor for the VCAA and IBO, and runs workshops in VCE Biology and IB Psychology.

Brett Drummond is a science communicator and co-founder of MStranslate, an organisation which communicates research summaries on multiple sclerosis (MS). He has been a private tutor for VCE Biology and Chemistry.

Kylie May is Head of Biology at Brighton Grammar School and has also been Head of 7–10 Science there. Previously she taught at Wellington Secondary College where she was Head of Science.

Ben Elliott is the Year 7–10 Science Co-ordinator at Brighton Grammar School and a VCE Biology teacher. He previously taught Science and A-Level Biology at Mill Hill School in London where he was also Assistant Head of House and School Council Co-ordinator.
