1. Technical specifications

In order to activate your account, you must be connected to the internet and use a browser such as Internet Explorer 6 or greater, Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome.

Some material on Cambridge GO, including the PDF Textbook, can be downloaded. The PDF Textbook is designed for full functionality using the latest version of Adobe Reader. The markup function is available in selected PDF readers for the iPad and other devices using iOS. Check your PDF reader specifications. At the time of printing Good Reader and PDF Expert were viable options.

Selected resources in the Interactive Textbook use Adobe Flash and may not be compatible with iPad and other devices using iOS. In the near future, the alternatives to Flash will be sophisticated enough to allow us to develop interactive contact using this other software so that our iPad and android tablet schools can make full use of the functionality of the Interactive Textbooks.

The Electronic Version can be read in any PDF reader. To input answers you will need to install an app that allows markup of the PDF document. Check the app description before downloading. At the time of printing PDF Expert was one viable option.

2. Setting up a Cambridge GO account

  • You will only need to set-up a Cambridge GO user account once.
  • A Cambridge GO account is free.
  • You will need a valid email address.

If you are a new user visit www.cambridge.edu.au/GO/newuser. Follow the prompts to create your account.

If you already have an account, visit www.cambridge.edu.au/GO and enter your details in the top right hand corner of the screen and click Login.

3. How do I log in to Cambridge GO?

If you have not already done so, you must create a free user account:

  • Visit www.cambridge.edu.au/GO/newuser and follow the prompts.
  • You will be asked to enter in a unique code found in the front of your textbook.
  • Type in the code and it will take you to the My Resources page.

If you already have a Cambridge GO account:

Visit www.cambridge.edu.au/GO. Enter your user name and password in the fields in in top right hand corner of the screen. Click Login.

4. I have bought a Cambridge textbook with Cambridge GO resources – how do I access my resources?

First, if you have not already done so, you must create a free user account.

  • Visit www.cambridge.edu.au/GO/newuser and follow the prompts.
  • You will be asked to enter in a unique access code found in the front of your textbook or in a sealed pocket.
  • Type in access code and it will take you to the ‘My Resources’ page where your resources will be housed.

If you already have a Cambridge GO account:

  • Visit www.cambridge.edu.au/GO.
  • Log in by entering your username and password in the top right hand corner of the screen.
  • You will be directed to the My Resources page.
  • To add resources input the access code found in the front of your textbook or in a sealed pocket.

More information on the My Resources page...

  • The ‘My Resources’ page houses all of your free resources, interactive textbooks and material for users of our textbook.
  • Click on the cover image for the title you would like to access in My Resources.
  • Now you can access all of the available resources via these tabs.
  • To access your resources again you just need to visit the My Resources page.

5. What if I forget my username or password?

  • On the home page www.cambridge.edu.au/GO, beneath the login box click the link Forgot your password?.
  • We will then use the email address you supplied on sign up to email you a new password immediately, and your original log-in will be cancelled.

6. I've lost my account activation email and would like to activate my account.

  • Request that your account confirmation email be re-sent to you.
  • To activate your Cambridge GO account, follow the instructions in the email.

7. What if my code doesn’t work?

8. Where can I purchase an access code for an Interactive Textbook or Electronic version?

You can purchase an access code from your Education Bookseller. The access codes are available in a bundle with the printed textbook for selected titles or as a separate purchase.

9. What is the difference between Cambridge GO and Cambridge GO Interactive?

The terms Cambridge GO and Cambridge GO Interactive refer to different levels of access to the Cambridge GO site.

  • Cambridge GO resources are available free to users of selected Cambridge textbooks. Teacher resources are only available through registered teacher accounts.
  • Cambridge GO Interactive resources are available as a calendar year subscription and can be purchased as stand-alone products or as part of a bundle with the student text.

What is a PDF Textbook, an Interactive Textbook and an Electronic version?

PDF Textbook

The PDF Textbook is available free to users of Cambridge textbooks. It is a downloadable electronic version of the student text, available in PDF format. Users will require the free Acrobat 9 Reader to view it and use the features. It is accessible to all users of Cambridge GO and Cambridge GO Interactive who have purchased the textbook and activated the access code.

When the PDF Textbook has been downloaded, features are activated that include:

  • Book marking
  • Note-taking
  • Highlight and underline text
  • Comment and mark-up

To use the features the PDF Textbook, it must be downloaded to your computer and opened in Acrobat 9 Reader.

The PDF textbook code can be activated by one user per year over three subsequent years. After this time the access code will become invalid. If you require further access contact us at help@cambridgego.com.au

Interactive Textbooks

Available separately or in a bundle, the Interactive Textbook is an html version of the student text that delivers a host of interactive features to enhance the teaching and learning experience. It is available on a calendar-year subscription, either as a stand-alone product or as part of a bundle with the printed book.

The Interactive Textbook is read through an internet browser. It includes easy-to-use navigation down the left hand side, and the content is restructured and rearranged to suit the online reading experience.

The features will differ from title to title to enhance the content and learning experience for that subject area. Features may include video, hyper-linked definitions, sound files, and Flash animations.

A subscription is described as: if activation occurs between January to August of this year, subscription concludes on the 31st December this year. If activation occurs between September to December of this year subscription concludes on the 31st of December the following year. Interactive Textbook access codes are available for purchase from your Education Bookseller.

Electronic versions

Available separately, the Electronic version is a downloadable electronic version of the student text, available in PDF format. Users will require the free Acrobat 9 Reader to view.

Students can input answers, take notes, bookmark, highlight pages and print if they choose. Each editable PDF can be downloaded online via an access code available for purchase from your Education Bookseller.

To use the features the Electronic version, it must be downloaded to your computer and opened in Acrobat 9 Reader.

How do I set up a Cambridge GO Teacher account?

  • Visit www.cambridge.edu.au/GO/newuser and follow the prompts.
  • Select the Teacher option
  • Enter your details – you will need a valid email address and phone number

We now need to ensure you are a teacher.

  • If you have registered to receive emails from us in the past we will be able to immediately verify you are a teacher.
  • If not, your request will be sent through to our sales coordinator who will verify your position within 48 hours and give you access. In the mean time you will have access to student resources.

This process ensures all teacher materials are kept secure and accessed by teachers only.
